The award titled ” National Award, 2019, for estimable contribution to education” came in the wake of revamping education in Sierra Leone by His Excellency, Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio, the President of Sierra Leone, in his new direction government which is committed to providing quality education to the masses.
This has been the uninterrupted passion and vision of Prof. and Dr. Mrs. Kamara for the past twenty-nine years in Sierra Leone.
Present at this red-carpet award ceremony were dignitaries and personalities from all walks of life including Honorable Ambassadors, Ministers, Diplomats, and other government and non- government functionaries.
The pronouncement of the winner of this award was heralded with jubilation and accolades from the audience vis: ” OH WELL DESERVED. INDEED THESE COUPLES HAVE CONTRIBUTED significantly to the human resource development of this country through education.”Receiving the award on behalf of Prof. Dr. Paul Kamara and Dr. Abie Paula Kamara, Prof. Dr. Roseline E. Uyanga, the CEO & Principal of IAMTECH thanked God almighty for His grace, and the DIASPORA FOCUS team for recognizing the indelible contributions of the Kamaras to national development as she remarked: ” It’s better to praise-sing our giants while they are alive than after their demise.”
She, on behalf of all staff and students of the great IAMTECH, promised on behalf of the institution never to relent its efforts in Human Capital Development for the betterment of the nation and beyond.
This well-deserved award which is dedicated to both staff and students of IAMTECH, should be held in high esteem, with the understanding that passion, dedication, hard work, resilience, integrity, and teamwork pays.
