Banking and Finance

The Bachelor of Banking and Financial has been designed to allow graduates to gain relevant competencies and skills to give them a competitive advantage when applying for employment in this sector. In addition to paving the way to further training as a professional, studying banking and finance develops transferable skills that are highly valued by employers in all sectors.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Communicate and explain specialised technical advice, knowledge, and ideas, to professionals and non-experts involved with the Financial Services Industry.
  • Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge of the theoretical and professional disciplines of banking, finance, investment analysis, accountancy, economics, and the Financial Services Industry.

Assessment

Throughout your degree, you will be assessed by the mixture of formal examinations, essays, reports, case study analysis, and group work.

Requirements

  • 5 WASSCE, including English, Mathematics and three subjects from the following: Financial Accounting, Cost / Management Accounting, Economics / Commerce
  • OD in Accounting and Finance with at least a 3.60 Final Grade Point Average (Year I)
