Economics

The Bachelor of Science in Economics is grounded on the belief that its graduates must be able to think critically, make decisions based on sound economic judgment and show skills and competencies that are needed for policy formulation. The course objectives, the multi-disciplinary structure of the courses, and the teaching and assessment methods are designed to develop students’ knowledge and skills that will be of practical use to their future careers.

Assessment

Throughout your degree, you will be assessed by the mixture of formal examinations, essays, reports, case study analysis, and group work.

Requirements

  • 5 WASSCE, including English, Mathematics and three (3) subjects from the following Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting and Economics in two sitting.
  • HTC Business Studies Division I or II
  • OD in Business Studies / Management
