Biography

Professor Roseline Emeh Uyanga holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) Biology/Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.  She obtained a Ph.D in Educational Management and Planning from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, 1986; a Higher Certificate in Computer Programming and Information Technology of the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria 1996, a Postdoctoral Diploma in Guidance and Counseling from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, Nigeria 2007, and a Certificate in Curriculum Development and Leadership from Hudderfield Polytechnic, United Kingdom, 1989.

Professor Roseline Emeh Uyanga started her career as a lecturer in Kaduna Polytechnic in 1986.  She later joined the services to the Federal University of Technology Yola, where she served for twenty years and where she rose from the rank of Senior lecturer to Associate Professor, and finally a full Professor in 1996/1997 academic year. She is currently a serving Professor in the University of Uyo, Nigeria, on leave of absence to the Institute of Advanced Management and Technology, as the Chief Executive Officer and Principal – from 2018 to date.  Prior to her appointment as the CEO and Principal of IAMTECH, Professor Roseline Emeh Uyanga was a Visiting Professor to IAMTECH from 2011 – 2017.

She was the Desk Officer, Millennium Development Goals, University of Uyo, 2013 – 2018.
  • Prof. R. E. Uyanga is a member of the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP); World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI); Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM); International Society for Educational Planning (ISEP) - USA; Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and the International Society for Diversity in Organisations, Communities and Nations (ISDOCN), USA.
  • She has served the National Universities Commission (NUC) Nigeria either as a chairperson, or as a member of Accreditation Panels or verification teams to several Universities in Nigeria such as: University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of Abuja, University of Minna, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, University of Ilorin, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Abia State University, Uturu, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu, Adamawa State University, Mubi, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba - Akoko, Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, and College of Education, Ila Iragun.
  • Professor Roseline Emeh Uyanga is credited with seven (7) textbooks (written in her area of specialization) which are being used in tertiary educational institutions; thirteen (13) chapters in books, thirty-seven (37) journal articles, six (6) published conference proceedings and forty-six (46) Conference Papers. She has successfully supervised thirty-five (35) Ph.D. theses, over sixty (60) Masters dissertations and numerous undergraduate projects. She has been an external assessor for several Professors and Associate Professor for Nigerian Universities from 2002 – Date.

Inaugural Lecture

Her Inaugural lecture titled “Schoolboys to Schoolmen: Emerging scenarios for mainstreaming Educational Managerial Models in Nigeria” was presented on 3rd March, 2010, at the Federal University of Technology, Yola (FUTY) Nigeria, where she was given a Chair as Professor of Educational Management and Planning.
