Within the program, students learn to analyse financial information, audit information, maintain records, and scrutinise budgets. Students also receive technical training. In addition to paving the way to further training as a professional accountant, studying accounting and finance develops transferable skills that are highly valued by employers in all sectors.

Students will:

• Recognise commonly used financial statements, their components, and how information from business transactions flows into these statements.
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of preparation of Financial Statements and or financial schedules following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles through analysis and synthesis of information as well.
• Learn relevant financial accounting career skills, applying both quantitative and qualitative knowledge to their future careers in business.
• Complete a Project/ Written Assignment that integrates career orientation and or professional development skills.

Throughout your degree, you will be assessed by the mixture of formal examinations, essays, reports, case study analysis, and group work.
